A 38-year-old Thane man raped a woman he met on Facebook, forced her into marriage, and subjected her to horrific torture using a hot tawa and cigarette burns. He also blackmailed and financially exploited her. Police filed an FIR against him and five family members. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made yet.
