On day 49 of Punjab's anti-drug campaign, police arrested 124 smugglers, seizing 2.5 kg of heroin and ₹2.02 lakh. This brings the total arrests to 6573 in 49 days. The operation involved raids, searches and a three-pronged EDP (Enforcement, Deaddiction, Prevention) strategy. Jail searches were also conducted to prevent illegal activities.
