Analysis of lunar regolith from the Chang'e 6 mission supports the giant-impact hypothesis of the Moon's formation. The findings indicate that the Moon formed from the remnants of a collision between a Mars-sized object and Earth billions of years ago. Further research with upcoming missions will provide more insights into lunar water distribution and evolution.
