The southwest monsoon has reached Kerala and is advancing towards Goa, potentially arriving within two days. A depression in the Arabian Sea accelerated its progress, making this one of the earliest onsets since 2009. Goa experienced heavy rainfall in recent days, though it has lessened despite a red alert. The monsoon has also covered Lakshadweep and parts of Karnataka.
