Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai will be India's 52nd Chief Justice, succeeding Justice Sanjiv Khanna on May 14th. He's expected to serve a six-month term, retiring in November. Justice Gavai's career includes service at the Bombay High Court and as a Supreme Court judge since 2019.
