India's 2024-25 sugar season will conclude with a comfortable closing stock of 52-53 lakh tonnes, according to ISMA. Domestic consumption and exports are considered in this estimate. Around 27 lakh tonnes have been diverted for ethanol production, with more expected. The 2025-26 season is anticipated to be promising due to favorable monsoon predictions and sugarcane planting.
