Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. secured a ₹627 billion ($7.3 billion) contract from the Indian Ministry of Defence to supply 156 light combat helicopters to the army and air force. These domestically produced helicopters will enhance military capabilities, particularly at high altitudes. Deliveries commence in 2028 and continue for five years. The army receives 90, the air force 66.
