Kolkata-based GRSE secured the lowest bid to construct five Next-Generation Corvettes for the Indian Navy, at an estimated ₹25,000 crore. These corvettes will have advanced capabilities, including missile attacks and anti-submarine warfare. A separate ocean-going tug order for Bangladesh was cancelled.
