The Delhi High Court directed Indian Customs to prevent unnecessary detention of travelers' old and personal jewelry at airports. The court addressed numerous petitions highlighting issues with the outdated Baggage Rules of 2016. They ordered a sensitization initiative for Customs officials and a standard operating procedure by May 19th.
