Lavi Pal, mastermind of a celebrity kidnapping gang, was arrested in Bijnor after an encounter. The gang, which also targeted comedian Sunil Pal, held actor Mushtaq Khan captive. Khan escaped and reported the crime. Six gang members were previously arrested; Pal and his cousin opened fire on police. Authorities recovered a pistol, cartridges, and extorted money. A bounty was placed on Pal's arrest; he's now being interrogated.
