Andhra Pradesh's Energy Minister announced that 956 Chenchu families received solar power connections, with plans for 611 more. The initiative aims to improve the living standards of the Chenchu tribal community, traditionally reliant on hunting, by providing electricity and MGNREGS job cards. Further plans include extending solar power to agricultural lands.
