A 1500-year-old statue of Lord Mahavir was found during pond excavation in Fakirpur village. The 3-foot-tall statue, in the 'Kayotsarga' pose, weighs over a quintal. Historians and officials confirmed its historical significance. Preservation at the State Museum is requested by local cultural groups.
